DON'T MISS THE NEW PAGE ENTITLED:
CONTROVERSY!
IT'S FOR YOU.
(and the file keeps growing!!)

Joan Smith with her Sheeptacular sheep, Patina; a blast from the recent past; photo: J. Peter Bergman

The Winter season is on and aren't we glad!!  As the white and gray days meld into the star-filled nights that are always so beautiful in The Berkshires local theaters are working to provide us with entertainments that may astound or reveal new versions of truths. The Summer companies are assembling their seasons and announcing well in advance of  Summer their seasonal goals and their stars and their productions and it looks as though 2012 could be a  banner year.

Right now the Ghent Playhouse is getting political with a musical that, according to one of its own characters, has a title that makes it less appealing to an audience. She's right and she's wrong. You can read the review starting today, but reading the review isn't what's important - seeing the show is what you need to do, you owe it to yourself to see it.

"Small Ironies." There have two wonderful reviews of the book and there are links to them available at that website, www.smallironies.com.  And again, you owe it to yourself to read not just the reviews, but to get the book and read it as well. (Frankly I need the sales numbers, so help me out, please.)
